Çukurova International Airport for Adana and Mersin Travels
As of August 11, 2024, all flights departing from and arriving at Adana are now operated through the newly opened Çukurova International Airport. From this date onward, you can continue planning your trips by purchasing a Çukurova flight ticket.
Çukurova International Airport is located in the Tarsus district of Mersin, approximately 32 km from Adana Şakirpaşa Airport, 37 km from Adana city center, 25 km from Tarsus district center, and 50 km from Mersin city center.
For passenger transportation between the city centers and the airport, various options such as city buses, Havaş shuttle services, and taxis are available.

Adana Sakirpasa airport is open in 1937 for military and civil purposes, after 1956 it served international flights, as well. It is used by people who live in neighboring cities such as, Mersin, Tarsus, and Osmaniye too. It is annually used by over 4.5 million people.
Transport from Adana Sakirpasa Airport to the City Center
There are three common transportation methods from the airport to the city center: The first one is public transportation. There are several busses; 135, 159, 250, and 252 numbered busses take passengers just outside of the airport. Bus number 135 and 159 runs between the airport and Balcali destinations. Also, the HAVAS airport shuttle provides transportation to Mersin and Osmaniye. The third method, which is more comfortable and faster, is taking a taxi or using car rental services.
Public Transport
Public transportation of Adana is provided by public or private buses, taxis, mini-busses called “dolmush” and metro. Since 2010 the metro is fully operational with 13 metro stations. Metro line is between Akincilar and Hastane stations. It starts running at 6:00 in the morning till 11:30 at night. “Kentkart” re-loadable card is used for public transportation.
