 Mohammed V International Airport is situated about 30 km south-east from the city center. The airport is the largest airport in the country and among the busiest transport hubs in the African continent.

The history of Mohammed V International Airport goes back to 1945, the Second World War, when the United States built and utilized the airport as Nouasseur Air Base. Morocco took over control of the airport upon gaining its independence in 1956. Currently, the airport consists of three terminals among which two of them are operable, dedicated to domestic and international flights. The third terminal has been out of service.

Transport from Mohammed V International Airport to the City Center

Train and various buses are commonly used ways of transport in order to get to the city center. Trains departing from the arrivals terminal of T1 run between the airport and city center every day from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.

It provides a comfortable journey to the city center that takes about 45 minutes as well as the possibility to easily connect to other Moroccan cities. You can organize your trip in advance through the web page of national railway operator, ONCF or buy your ticket at the station upon arrival.
