Transport from Hannover Airport to the City Center

Airport is the ninth largest airport in Germany. It is located in Langenhagen, 11 km north of the city. 

You can go to Hanover city center from the airport by train, bus, shuttle or taxi.

There is a frequent train service to the city center via the Hannover S-Bahn S5 line, which passes the Hannover Flughafen train station under Terminal C. The train runs every half hour to the city center for 22 hours a day. The single-use train ticket costs 3.4 euros and the journey takes approximately 17 minutes. You can also use the 470 bus line to get to the city center. Buses leave from the car park at walking distance from terminal C exit. Buses that run from 04:30 to 23:00 leave every half hour. The single-use bus ticket costs 2.6 euros. You can buy the tickets from Üstra ticket booths in the arricals hall or from the bus driver.

There is a taxi at the exit of the passenger lounge of all terminals. Taxis are available 24 hours a day. Depending on the traffic situation, the average cost of taxis reaching the city center in 20 to 30 minutes is 25 euros. Apart from taxis, you can use the shuttle services of private transportation companies.
