Travel Glossary

It is the term used for all places where air crafts take-off and land, embark and offload. Passengers wait for their flights at the airport. To put it in more technical terms, it is referred to as all places formed overland or afloat allowing air travel and planes to take off and land with necessary technical equipment.

Runways are areas where planes prepare for landing and takeoff. Runways are widely proportioned areas designed under certain standards. Terminals are places where passengers wait, rest, board and disembark. There are also places called hangars for repairing and housing. Related technical company branches and commercial companies can be also included in the airport.
