Now between us, let’s confess - all of us have favourites and winter is really a bit wearying. Thick clothes, heavy boots we have to drag around like a ball and chain, the cold, and a whole host of other inconveniences... but we can’t just say, ‘Hey, let’s just stay at home and ignore winter.’ Unfortunately, most of us are a bit limited by our working conditions in that respect and, not only that, it might be a bit impractical to sit at home for an entire season. Thinking about all the places there are to see and visit, we want to take you on a mini-journey around the ones that will turn winter into summer. Let's face it, it would be wrong not to share the fact that there is a festival that can lay waste to the arctic cold, bring summer in its wake and warm your soul with entertainment. Every year, from 11 November through until February, Düsseldorf Carnival is ready to whisk us away like a superhero, saving us from all the clichés of winter that we want to get away from. Thousands of visitors from all over Germany, as well as other countries, come to mingle in the streets full of costumed people. Düsseldorf Festival, with its approximately 680 thousand participants, has already warmed your soul, hasn’t it? So be part of it!
