To know when summer has arrived in Sweden’s capital city of Sweden, there’s no need for calendars or digital diaries. Parkteatern opens up the cities parks to entertainment and art-scented flowers, seemingly taking on the duty of announcing summer, all by itself. The event was first held in 1942, and since then it has been bringing events as diverse as theatre, dance, concerts and circuses to Stockholm’s Parks. Even better, you won't need a ticket or reservation to take part in any of these events. All the events that are part of Parkteatern are free of charge and organised for the benefit of everyone who breathes the air of Sweden in the summer months.
