Dagestan Visa

Depending on the passport you hold, travelling to Makhachkala or other Dagestani cities might require you to have a Dagestan visa.

At this point, we must highlight that Dagestan is a republic within the Russian Federation. Therefore, there isn’t a separate Dagestan visa; you must apply for a Russian visa to travel to Dagestan and any other republic within the federation.

You can check the official list of visa policy (available only in Russian) provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation or use Timatic to see whether you need a visa for Dagestan.

Once you learn more about the visa process, you can start finalising the key processes and gathering the necessary documents, such as a flight ticket, an accommodation booking, and other required documents for your visa application. You can visit the Dagestan Flight Ticket page to buy a ticket with cheap prices offered by Pegasus Airlines.

Do I Need a Visa to Travel to Dagestan?

Part of the Russian Federation, Dagestan requires individuals from most foreign countries to get the appropriate visa to visit the country.

The most commonly applied visa type is the tourist visa. This visa may be issued as a single, double, and multiple-entry visa. Single and double visas allow visitors to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days, while the multiple-entry visa permits for 90 days. It should be noted that a double-entry visa is only issued to those who plan to visit one of the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Citizens of most countries can apply for an electronic visa. Here you can find a list of eligible countries.
